Coconut Media Lab is led by Bibin Mathew — a designer who spent 20+ years building digital products for Atlassian, Walmart, Nissan, and Via.com, leading teams and shipping experiences used by millions.
But the first love came earlier. As a kid watching cricket World Cups, he waited for the ad breaks as eagerly as the game. Mid-career, that pull led to three years inside Bengaluru's agency world, building brands and campaigns before returning to tech.
In 2025, after leaving Atlassian, the two halves finally became one thing. Coconut Media Lab opened in September 2025 — and within five months, grew from a coworking desk into its own Creative Lab in Kumaranallore, Kottayam.
Why Kottayam? Because it's home — and because creative excellence isn't defined by geography anymore. Our ambition is to become one of India's most respected independent creative studios, built from Kerala. Chosen not because we're local, but because we're the best partner for the problem.
Why “Coconut Media Lab”? The coconut is Kerala's most honest symbol: every part of it has value. That's how we treat ideas — nothing decorative, everything useful. And “Lab” is a promise: we experiment, prototype, test, and refine.
